Software Engineer – Backend (San Francisco)

We are looking for a talented Backend Engineer who will build great code to support Flurry’s explosive customer growth. We need someone has experience building highly scalable Java apps and an understanding of handling data efficiently on a big scale. And someone who will enjoy the “whatever it takes” atmosphere a successful start-up, working closely with some of the best developers around.

Working in this role you will

· Design, scope, implement and test new features end-to-end both independently and with other team members

· Write tested, readable and maintainable code

· Comfortable learning new languages and programming tools

· Love solving challenging problems

To be considered seriously, you will have 

· At least two years of real dev experience, some in an agile environment

· Experience building highly-scalable and reliable Java applications

· Understanding of relational database design, SQL query language and optimization

· Understanding of object-relational mapping technology (E.g. Hibernate

· Hadoop/HBase experience a major plus
